We have had many questions lately from those of you that are curious as to what parts and procedures are required in order to run REVO's stage 2 software.
Therefore, we have decided to outline the steps here in our forums, that are required to take that next step on your quest for more power!BigGrin

Vehicle - 2002 Jetta 1.8T

Step 1.

Intake system upgrade - cold air intake or even drop-in performance panel filter - K&N , AEM etc.
In this case we are going with a Neuspeed CAI with K&N filter (this system is great for those of you that want an all year round intake and are not keen on running the filter down beneath the battery tray)

Removal of stock air box.

Step 2.

Stock 3 BAR fuel pressure regulator will be replaced with 4 BAR

Step 3.

Stock divertor valve is replaced with performance diverter -capable of handelling higher boost pressures.
In this case we are using the FORGE splitter which is capable of functioning as a diverter valve and blow-off...without setting of your engine light, designed to work with the VAG sytem...cool!ThumpUp

Step 4.

High flow exhaust sytem.
We went with a Magnaflow stainless steel 2 1/4 ' cat back' system.

Old n' crusty!

Step 5.

Questions.... would the Oettinger ram air intake work ok ? the one with the carbon fiber housing ? I have the forge splitter, but how important is the high flow cat back. Im wondering about going stage three down the road so would I then have to replace that with a full header 3" exhaust and have to replace the 2 1/4 cat back ? Also, are there any companies that sell full stage 3 kits to go along with the stage three revo ?

Hey Phil,

I know we have already discussed these details...however, I will recap for those who may have the same questions.

1. Yes, that intake will work.
2. A larger diameter exhaust is needed.
3. Yes, kits are available.

Here's some pics. of Phil's FORGE BOV install!
